Dream team reuniting for George Begg Festival 2025

Kiwi motorsport legend Paul Radisich is returning to the George Begg Festival in 2025.

He’s not coming alone either, bringing with him the car that won the New Zealand grand prix and hasn’t been seen on a racetrack in more than 30 years.

With a career spanning almost three decades, Radisich well and truly made his mark on the motorsport world stage, taking out two Touring Car World Cups (including the inaugural event in 1993 and again in 1994) and racing in the United States, United Kingdom, South Africa and more.

“I’ve been to plenty of festivals around the world, in particular the Goodwood Revival, and attending the last one (George Begg Festival), for the first time putting it all together, it has the ingredients for a brilliant festival.”

“Next year’s festival is going to be bigger and better, we’ve got more cars and more star drivers… the public are going to be in for a hell of a weekend, as well as the function on the Friday night.”

While Radisich is looking forward to getting behind the wheel of the Ford Mondeo he won the world championship in, it’s the Ralt RT4 he is most looking forward to reuniting with.

“I think, sitting on the other side of the fence, you don’t have the opportunity to drive lots of cars. The [George Begg Festival] gives us the ability to drive lots of different cars.”

He can’t wait to go head-to-head with some great drivers, and also to catch up with many other motorsport enthusiasts over the festival.

“I’m really looking forward to it.”

The best part of the 2025 festival for Radisich though?

Well, that will definitely be doing some demo laps in the Ralt RT4, – it’s been in storage since 1988.

“It brought me a huge amount of success.”

Keen to see Radisich and other star drivers like Greg Murphy and Emma Gilmour race for yourself – tickets for the George Begg Festival are available here.
